So I’ve been seeing a lot of bands and companies with their own YouTube profile page lately and I finally worked out how to make my own so here is a quick run down of how to do it for your own band or company.

1. Sign in or Register for a YouTube account for your band or company here: http://www.youtube.com/signup?next=/index

2. Upload or Favorite the videos you want on your profile.

2. Click on your username at the top of the home page

4. You will now be taken to your profile page where you need to click on the ‘Edit Channel’ link.

5. Enter your band or companies information and choose your preferences. If you are making a page for a band make sure you click on the ‘Channel Type’ drop down and choose ‘Musician’

6. Next click the ‘Channel Design’ link in the left menu and choose the colors and settings you would like your profile to display and click ‘Update Channel’.

7. Next step is to organize and add the videos you want to show on your profile. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Organize Videos’ link in the left hand menu. Now simply choose which videos you want to show on your profile and click ‘Update Channel’.

8. Click on the ‘View Your Public Channel’ link and make sure everything is how you want it.

You, your customers, friends or fans can access your new profile anytime using your profiles URL address http://www.youtube.com/user/YourUserNameHere and replace ‘YouUserNameHere’ with your user name.

Make sure you link your new profile URL to your Myspace, Facebook, Website or Forum Signature and get as many fans and customers as you can to subscribe to your Channel so they get updated everytime you add a new video.

We have two freelance positions available which will consist of laying out a profile with supplied images and placing them according to a preview we send you. The code must look the same in Firefox, IE and Safari.

You must be familiar with both Personal and Band profiles and know how to positions DIVs and hide/move anything on the profile. If you know how to do most of the coding we can help out with little things here and there.

You can do this from anywhere you want and you can choose to take on projects or knock them back if you are too busy.
